I never thought I'd end up running a business - I spent most of my youth playing computers and studying arcades. Or was it the other way round?
When I turned 18, I developed a love for martial arts and spent more time training over studying for my degree so it wasn't a surprise when I dropped out. It was a surprise to my parents and whenever I visit I still get asked when I'll finish it. As it was an IT degree, the answer is, well, never.
I then spent about a decade training and ended up doing security work; great way to meet "interesting" women, get in the odd scrap and have a perfect excuse for staying in bed till midday. Bliss!
Unfortunately when I hit thirty, the sleep deficit caught up; I still can't stay awake past eleven PM, the government introduced a new licensing system for security work (a good thing really, but damn expensive) and I met someone to settle down with. I even got a proper job, which lasted for about a year before I decided to focus fully on building businesses.
There's a lot to learn; I've made more mistakes than ever in the past four years - but that's a good thing as long as I don't make them again! I've watched a business grow into a venture turning over a quarter of a million and I still work from home sitting in my underpants. I'd like it to grow even more and it might even require me to get dressed but it definitely beats working for a living :)
A brief, serious bio bit; you can always email and ask for more.
